    BIO: Maria Afanador is an international actress, who started studying Performing Arts in 2008 at the “Charlot Academy” she continued at “The National Theater House” in her home country, Colombia, Maria graduated as Professional Actress in 2012.
    Maria performed in plays such as “44 Minutes to Recover Love”, “The Trojan Women”, “The Real Inspector Hound” amongst others.
    Maria has enjoyed many roles in television programs and short films.
    Maria has continued her training with several recognised professors and different techniques in South America and Australia.

    Before landing in Melbourne, Maria was performing in different plays around her country; the last play she was part of in South America was “The Beauty and the Beast” at the National Theatre for a complete season.
    In Australia, on 2014 Maria performed with the Spanish Theatre Company presenting “Erotic Alleluia”, an adaptation of the play by Federico Garcia Lorca at the Mechanical Theatre, in Brunswick, Melbourne.
    She has also performed at La Mama in The Masque of Beauty as Lucrecia Borgia with Peter Green, on 2015 explorations and 2016 for a season. Maria is excited to reprise her role as Woman Alone in “Women on the Verge” at the Butterfly Club and The Italian Institute Of Culture, Melbourne after a successful run at La Mama in 2015. This with her own theatre company, “The Bridge”.
    Maria is passionate about theatre and films, and is keen to act around the globe for the rest of her life.
